About institution
In Bogojevo, next to the church, there was a school as early as 1767. This leads us to conclude that the first school in Bogojevo was of a religious nature. The municipality only contributed to the construction of a very modest school building in 1824, which was destroyed in a large-scale fire in 1866. Despite all the difficulties, the school started functioning again in 1871, most likely in a private building, since the municipality only built a current school building in 1898, in the place where it had existed until 1982. Since 1963, it has been named after the famous Hungarian poet József Attila.
